In Season 6, Episode 1 Dexter has set out to kill an old Prom King at his 20th High School Reunion. Joe Walker had been accused of murdering his wife, and getting away with it. Dexter gets wind of this and attends his reunion, in hopes of stalking and killing his prey, Joe Walker. As Dexter enters the reunion, he is stopped and asked by a group of high-school-fantasy women if he would like a sexual favor. He declines, but then steals the girls cell phone. He uses it to text Joe, and lure him to his death in the Janitors shed just outside the school. Not everything went to plan though. After missing the M99 injection, Dexter had to choke out Joe in the shed. Not to mention Dexter had left some evidence linking him to Joe’s disappearance from the reunion. After being questioned by the police, Dexter manages to get away with Joe’s death.
Dexter and the team have been called out to the beach to investigate a dead body that has been left under the pier. As they arrive they notice that the body had been cut open, and stitched back up postmortem. This was the second instance in which a victim had been sowed back up after being gutted. Deb notices that the stitching on the mans body resembles an A inside a horse shoe. Quinn spoke up and explained that the symbol on the mans chest is “Alpha and Omega”, a reference to God being the “Beginning and the end, the Alpha and Omega”. As they take a closer look at the stitching, Deb notices that his skin begins to move. Dexter pulls out a knife and begins to cut away the stitching, only to reveal that the mans stomach and intestines have been replaced with small snakes. This begins a series of religious-based killings, haunting Miami.
