Debra is angry with Dexter for taking 5 days off and placing her in between a rock and a hard place. Once she finds out that he went dead set to Nebraska over the Trinity Killer mess, she becomes even angrier. Dexter tells Deb that we wont be at work in the morning so he can attend Brother Sam’s ceremony then head off into the night to kill Geller (though she does not recognize the reason) and makes things white-hot. Debra even cusses in front of Harrison, that even she is aware of it and knows it is an enormous no-no. Debra’s disposition isn’t helped by a dead hooker sick by a heroin overdose. LaGuerta is keen to make the case a closed one. Dexter finds out that there is was proof that there was somebody else along with her, which implies the case should not be closed. Apparently LaGuerta is aware of who was with her, and is using her influence to safeguard him.
Brother Sam has told Dexter that each one of the answers to his questions are within the Holy Bible. it’s simply a matter of finding the queries. He uses Bible passages to urge Travis in giving up Geller, but Travis, whereas he is just as guilty by aiding Geller in his ghastly work, won’t become involved to allow Geller’s capture. He simply desires it to be over. But Geller won’t let it be over so soon. He kidnaps Travis and chains him up within the abandoned church. Then he takes Travis’ sister and sacrifices making her into the Whore of Babylon. This provides Dexter with a required clue to search out out wherever Geller is and the way to hunt him down within the help of a retired priest whose church Geller currently uses as a hideaway. The abandoned church, isolated because it is, is going to be excellent for a kill area. However, Geller gets away. Travis, overwrought at the murder of his sister, guarantees Dexter that he will help him search out Geller and finish him.
