Michael C Hall reveals his Must-See TV and plans for Dexter Season 6

Michael C Hall - Showtime's DexterMichael C Hall chats! Dexter Season 6, along with his upcoming film, Peep World. He also discusses what TV shows he considers to be Must See TV.

We may never see an Arrested Development movie in our lifetime. Thankfully, Barry W. Blaustein has made Peep World, an ensemble comedy about an uproariously demented and out-of-touch family that gives the Bluth clan a run for its money. In the film, dysfunctional siblings Sarah Silverman, Rainn Wilson, and Michael C. Hall overreact when their youngest brother (Ben Schwartz) writes a tell-all book about the family’s dirtiest secrets. We spoke to Hall about awkward dinner parties, Hitler fascinations, and the next season of Dexter.

Michael C Hall Must-See TV

Q: Dexter is must-see television for so many people. What’s must-see TV for you?

A: Michael C Hall: I watch a lot of sports on TV. As far as series go, I often catch up with stuff. I just picked up all of the DVDs of Breaking Bad, which I haven’t seen yet. I’m looking forward to doing a marathon of that. Just recently, I made my way through The Wire well after the fact. That show is mind-blowing. The expansiveness of their storytelling is just unbelievable, and I think Omar is one of the greatest characters in the history of television.

Interview with Daniel Licht – Creepy Dexter music composer

Daniel Licht

Daniel Licht composed the perfectly creepy, eerie and haunting music for the Dexter show.

Composer Daniel Licht Talks Silent Hill: Downpour, Dexter, and More

The Silent Hill series is one of the few game franchises that is known as much for its music and sound design as it is for its gameplay. Akira Yamaoka’s haunting score is legendary in the gaming world.

Fans of the series know the main theme immediately upon hearing the first notes strummed on the mandolin.

When word came down that Silent Hill’s 8th entry, Downpour, would feature a new composer, long-time fans of the series were more than a little nervous.

Konami handed over musical duties to veteran composer Daniel Licht, known best for his work on the “Dexter” series.

His experimental use of…uncommon percussion on “Dexter” (where real bones were used for some pieces for example) and overall strength of the compositions used there calmed many nerves about Silent Hill’s musical future.

Dexter Season 6 – Vitalized and Wanting to Play

Dexter Season 6 Michael C. Hall talks Dexter Season 6 And Peep World. In between the filming of Dexter Season 6, starting next month, Michael C. Hall has an indie movie opening this weekend. Peep World is about a family dealing with one sibling authoring a thinly veiled tell-all book about their problems. Hall plays a frustrated husband who goes to peep booths in the middle of the day.

Thanks to the local press day for the film, I got to spend some quality time alone with Hall. Peep World opens March 25 and he’s getting ready to shoot Dexter Season 6, so we got to talk a little about that too.

Q: Since “Dexter,” have you been getting more leading man movie offers or more of these quirky, comedy or otherwise different sorts of roles?

Michael C. Hall: I don’t know. I certainly get my share of things that I pass on because they involve me being in one way or another in the same room with a dead body, but I don’t know. I’d say when I was doing “Six Feet Under,” everybody associated me with that character and “Dexter” started. That character was my first victim and now everybody associates me with Dexter but maybe the spectrum that exists between those two characters is something that people consider when they think of me for things. I don’t know, I think I’ve been attracted to maybe stuff like this where a person is not uniquely internally afflicted. They’re just more of a relative everyman dealing with external chaos.
